You forget that life is a circle. Where Americans invented rock & roll, and the Brits made it better, the Americans have taken it back and in the spirit of modern times- cloned it and mass produced it. As a result it's suffering all of the fatal problems of perpetual replication.

Each new record seems to be just a little worse than the one before it and each new act forces us to try and distinguish it somehow from all of the others. We probably have more names to classify shitty music than the Inuit do for snow.

On the Police "...I really want to like them but the first couple of records sound sonically really bad, and I just can’t get over that."

This is why we have "Best Of" albums. ;)

Dave, Dave, Dave... Have I tought you nothing??

You need to spend less time listening to this Tzu fella and put in some time with your uncle Tex.

Now, pay attention and you will properly know something!

Now I know, you are not a lyrics man, per see, but you cannot compare the Beatles to the Stones without at least acknowledging their lyrical content. The Beatles were capable of producing twee-pop at best and only after they had split did Lennon write anything worth listening to ("Working-Class Hero").

On top of this blatant fact the Beatles gave Paul McCartney the belief that he was something other than an utter fucking wanker - and for that they are worse than Hitler!

Consider yourself told.
