Great post! It's been great having you guys here. Just a few minor edifications :-)
I didn't sell my soul to Microsoft, I wouldn't sell my soul for anything (assuming I have a soul, signed, your cowardly agnostic friend) and would hate for any MSFT peeps reading this to think that is my opinion, or to think anyone else out there would find your good friend Beth a sellout in general. I actually have a great job here that is challenging, creative, and serves a heroic audience and I feel very lucky to have a good career as well as a great life here in AMS. Second, the fireplaces aren't faux. They are original black marble fireplaces that are now dormant. Ok, back to the show!

I know, I know where you're going next, and with whom! *jumps up and down waving her hand in the air*

aaaah.... you make Amsterdam sound even better here than you have in your e-mails. It's so on my list now.

I'm so glad you've had such a wonderful time. You must know this is the kind of entry a Mom wants to read, so much easier to digest than tales of rare eye bacteria, and intestinal viruses dealt with over a squat toilet under a tin roof in 110 degree heat. Job well done, my darling! Cheers!
